She was one out of the thousands of law students who got selected for the Annual International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot Competition (IMLAM) to be held at Singapore. Unfortunately, her family could not afford to send her for the prestigious event.But that didn’t stop Yamuna. She launched a crowdfunding campaign with Impact Guru, to achieve her dreams.
Here’s what Yamuna did right:
Strong social media strategy: Her campaign was widely shared across Facebook, Twitter, and Whatsapp. The results were instant. She raised Rs. 1,26,246 in two weeks, when she needed Rs. 75,000.
Great campaign video: People saw her perseverance, determination, and honesty in her campaign video, and were delighted to offer financial assistance in helping her achieve her dreams. Check out the video below:
