Crowdfunding helped the parents of Baby Nagarani provide for her treatment

Nagarani Teegulla was born with congenital heart disease. She was placed on ventilator support three months after her birth. Her condition was critical as her heart muscles had become weak because her little yet defective heart was working overtime.The treatment regimen suggested by the doctors would cost the new parents approximately Rs. 6 lakhs. The young parents were unable to afford the cost and looked for various options to fund the treatment. Overhearing someone talk about crowdfunding, the parents browsed through options. the couple came across ImpactGuru.com, a crowdfunding platform. They started a fundraiser immediately for the little girl. To their utter surprise, 903 kind strangers came forward and raised Rs 6,61,847/- for their little baby's treatment. That was 110% of the goal amount.
Tragically, despite the doctor’s best efforts, Baby Nagarani lost the fight to congenital heart disease. The family is grateful that strangers joined their struggle to save their baby girl although it was not meant to be. The funds raised were used to pay for Nagarani’s medical bills.
