Samaira means an enchanting guardian angel. But all was not as merry as the name suggested. I was flowing in waves of bliss at the time of her birth. We were overjoyed that a girl child was born to us. That’s why we named our girl Samaira, a guardian angel, protected by God’s grace.

However, when she was just a month old, she was diagnosed with Propionic Acidemia, which is a rare metabolic disorder.

As she has been suffering from various health conditions since birth. I was a working woman, but gradually, as Samaira’s health worsened, I had to take a break so that I could take care of her.

Doctors said that kidney and liver transplants would save my baby. But the treatment would cost us Rs 75 lakhs. We were taken aback, and with savings exhausted, we had no means to arrange such an amount.

With very little hope left, we decided to opt for crowdfunding for the treatment of our little one. As we started our fundraiser on ImpactGuru because of its transparency and super fast disbursal. 300 generous donors came to my little baby’s rescue and saved her life by bringing her back from semi-coma-induced consciousness.

Samaira needs to get stronger to undergo the dual transplant. But she is out of the health scare now. Soon, she will be competely cured. This is a heartfelt thank you to all the ImpactGuru donors who helped Samaira.
