After a decade’s wait, Anushka enjoys motherhood with her twins

When the Gosavis learned that they were to be blessed with not one, but two babies after waiting for a decade, they were on top of the world. Anushka and Shrikant left no stone unturned when it came to preparations and following the doctor’s advice. Right from matching frocks to soft toys, Shrikant worked hard and readied the house for his unborn daughters.
On June 23, 2021, fate took an unexpected turn when Anushka experienced a searing ache. Upon visiting the hospital, the mother received a piece of bittersweet news - her twins were arriving early! In the Indian monsoons of June, the twins were born prematurely. Before Anushka could even embrace them, they were raced out of the maternity ward for tests and scans.
The twins were severely underweight and needed 2+ months of NICU stay and oxygen support. Coming from a humble background, Shrikant and Anushka had no inkling of how they would manage to raise Rs 40 lakh on their own. They had no means to afford this amount, but as parents, they couldn’t afford to be paralyzed with helplessness either.
Seeing their financial conditions, the staff of Surya Hospital suggested they seek help through Impact Guru’s crowdfunding platform. The very next day, the parents took the leap of faith and opened their fundraiser on Impact Guru. Within days, 500+ Impact Guru donors opened their hearts for the twins of Anushka.
