Because of 308 Donors and 337 Shares, cancer is now a thing of the past for Shilpa

In 2018 I was told I had Biphasic Synovial Sarcoma- a rare cancer of the soft palate.

Not only did my dreams of becoming a dancer come to a striking halt, but the entire fabric of my life was altered forever. 

My happy family was shattered because of this debilitating illness.                                                                           As I consulted the doctors, I was made aware that cancer has spread to my lungs. Cancer in my lungs was fatal to my health and life. I was not willing to take any chances with my life.

I had to undergo multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. 

The only surprise waiting for my poor family was that the treatment would cost us a whopping amount of Rs 6 Lakh. My parents had already spent a good amount of money on my continued treatment. To make ends meet, my mother works as a cook and my humble father has an electrician’s job. 

So you see, arranging lakhs is really a big amount for a family like mine to manage. 

We had heard about Impact Guru’s crowdfunding platform. We were glad that we could have complete transparency while we raise funds on Impact Guru’s crowdfunding platform.
