PTA Bombay Scottish School, Mahim and Donors Unite to Put Food on the Plate for School Support Staff
COVID-19 has brought with it a lot of pain and despair for the people who could not afford to withstand the pandemic. Among these have been the beloved Didis and Drivers whose faces were ever-smiling. They were always there for the kids- picking them up from the bus stop, sharing jokes on their way to the school. But what happened to these smiling faces when the pandemic began? As the schools shut down, there was no need for support staff in the school and as a result, they faced true financial turmoil. But not for long! On the kind watch of Bombay Scottish School Parents, Impact Guru Foundation, and kind donors.
A campaign was started on ImpactGuru.com to help these affected families wherein parents and donors came together to surpass the Rs 60 lakh goal amount and reach Rs 77,90,136. All this was made possible by the ever-loving nature and the thoughtfulness of all the 1503 donors who came forward to raise money for ration kits that were given to every Didi and Driver at Bombay Scottish School, Mahim.
Thanks to this act of generosity, no matter how bad things got for these families, they never had to go to sleep on an empty stomach.
A collective effort is all it takes to rescue the ones who care for us when they are in trouble. The donors on ImpactGuru.com, Impact Guru Foundation, and PTA of Bombay Scottish School, Mahim, impacted the lives of many Drivers and Didis because they cared!
