Pritam, a bright and compassionate 24-year-old, had always found solace in serving people and animals. What happened

On that fateful day of 21st June 2022, Pritam's life changed in an instant. While returning home from work, a bike unexpectedly was about to hit a cow. To save the cow from being hit, he collided with the vehicle. The impact resulted in multiple injuries, including severe brain trauma, nasal fractures, and orbital fractures.

He was rushed to the ICU, where he battled for his life with the support of ECMO care. The severity of Pritam's injuries required a series of complex surgeries, including brain, orbital, jaw, and cervical spine surgery. The cost of treatment amounted to staggering ₹15 lakhs.

Financial setback

The financial burden of Pritam's extensive medical treatment was overwhelming for a middle-class family like his. His father earned a meager monthly income as a factory worker, and Pritam himself earned a modest wage of 300 Rs per day in a garment shop.

Despite pooling all of their savings, the cost of treatment, which amounted to over ₹15 lakhs, seemed impossible. Pritam's parents couldn't bear to see their youngest child suffer, but they were at a loss for how to arrange for the necessary funds.
