Today,
I feel blessed.
I was surfing the internet when I stumbled across the fundraiser campaign by ImapctGuru that was very close to my heart - Misti. I was scrolling through the update section, and oh, good heavens! I have the most exciting news to share!
Misti, the 2-month-old precious tot who was diagnosed with Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele, has finally undergone surgery and is doing much better. I can't even begin to describe the joy I felt upon reading the update. It's a feeling that I know all of us donors share.

I still remember the day I came across the fundraiser campaign. It was right before New Year's when I read about Misti's story. Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele - In bold words. At first. I was unaware of the condition and how deadly this can be to a newborn. When I learned about the disease, I burst into tears.
A newborn is supposed to be the light and hope of a new beginning for a family. Misti's family, however, felt like their world was collapsing all around them. I can't even begin to think about Misti's struggle, the pain and distress she must've felt because of the large tumour.
How could such a young and innocent life be plagued by such terrible condition?
Like many of us, I cannot imagine the pain and hardship Misti's family had to endure. The thought of a little baby going through such a traumatic experience was heart-wrenching. I was moved by her story and wanted to do everything I could to help. What I didn't expect was the incredible sense of community that would form around her cause.
I remember the moment I decided to make a contribution to her campaign. I didn't have much to spare, but I knew every little bit counted, and it could mean a world of difference for Misti and her family. It was amazing to see how complete strangers, people nationwide, could come together and rally behind one precious little life in need.

I want to leave you all with a quote from H. Jackson Brown Jr. that perfectly sums up my feelings: "Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more." And I truly abide by that. The fact that my little contribution has positively affected someone's life is ample to make my day.
2023 has been a fulfilling year for me, and I hope it has been the same for other supporters. This experience has reminded me of the beauty of human kindness. Even in the darkest times, we can make a difference. Let's continue to give and liberate our souls.
With Hope and Love,
