In our childhood, we often find ourselves drawn closer to our mothers, sharing our secrets, knowing they understand our little mischiefs, and protect us from our fathers’ sternness. The traditional image of a father – stern, distant, preoccupied – often leads us to fear them more than to feel close to them. They scold us, don't speak much, and seem perpetually busy, leading us to believe they are not as intimately connected with us as our mothers.

Father's Day, celebrated annually on June 16th, coincides with the conclusion of World Men's Health Week, emphasizing its special significance. Our fathers have always shouldered the burden of responsibility for us, and no amount of gratitude seems sufficient to honor their dedication. This day serves to celebrate fatherhood, acknowledging that just as our fathers have nurtured and protected us, we too will take on such responsibilities in the future. Fatherhood transcends a single day, but Father's Day offers a precious moment to express our love and to deepen our respect for the men who have shaped our lives.
Father's Day traces its origins back to Fairmont, West Virginia, on July 5, 1908. After a tragic mining accident left many children fatherless, Mrs. Grace Golden Clayton organized a service to honor the deceased fathers, planting the seeds for a day dedicated to fathers. While Mother's Day had already found its place in hearts worldwide, it wasn't until 1972 that Father’s Day received official recognition by the US government, and soon it became a global celebration.
In moments of crisis, our first call is often to our father, the unwavering figure who strives tirelessly to pull us out of trouble. Sometimes, we fail to thank him properly. Lokesh and Sparsha, two children who faced significant challenges, found their fathers rising to superhero status during their darkest hours. Their stories are a testament to the boundless love and determination that fathers embody.
