With Power Comes Responsibility

- Iron Man

Around India, there are 31 Lakh NGOs, Non-Profit Organisations that continuously persevere to change the fate of those left out of society. These NGOs are trailblazers of change as they impact the lives of many across the country. NGOs have the power to reach out to the most distraught part and are important institutions for any country.

At ImpactGuru as well, there are hundreds of NGOs who have been assisted in their fundraising journey. These NGOs in turn have transformed the lives of thousands by focusing on areas like human rights, social, environmental and advocacy of change. They have been resilient towards improving the social conditions of those left out of the social ladder on a wide scale.

Below we mention briefly about these drivers of change who believed in crowdfunding for their cause on ImpactGuru-

1.  NGO Raises Funds For Stray Animals

Kannan Animal Welfare (KAW) in Noida has successfully treated over 1000 critically injured dogs so far. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, KAW has been receiving daily requests of at least 30+ stray animals who were in need of rescue or critical care. They tried their best to attend to as many animals as they could but were falling short of space to take in any more animals. Then the NGO started a fundraiser on ImpactGuru to raise funds and raised over ₹10 Lakhs. This fundraiser helped the NGO fulfill its mission.

2. ImpactGuru Donors Donate Almost ₹19 Lakhs  to Save the Elderly’s Only Home

Jesus Christ Charitable Trust is a rescue and rehabilitation centre for the elderly, poor, and widowed people. The trust shelters them and cares for their well-being. Moved by their story, well-wishers on ImpactGuru came forward to save the elderly from being abandoned and homeless, proving once again the power of giving!

3. ‘Doctors For You’ Come Together to Save Lives Amid Covid-19 by Raising ₹4+ Lakhs

In the midst of the Covid crisis, Doctors For You (DFY), a humanitarian organization, worked relentlessly to provide crucial medical aid to struggling hospitals and hundreds of critical patients in multiple cities of the nation. They relied on ImpactGuru donors to help them save the citizens of the country during the 2nd wave of the pandemic!

4. How Children With Special Needs Were Championed By This 16-year-old!

When Adhishthan saw his best friend with special needs being bullied, something inside him changed. Heavy research with the help of special education experts and commitment towards making a difference, helped him start Abhivyakti in 2020. The sole aim was to empower neurodiverse children to become self-reliant and learn critical life skills. Kind donors responded to Adhisthan’s initiative by helping him raise ₹1,43,100 ($1,909) for the education of at least 7 children with special needs!

"I was just trying to understand their needs better. I had to go in for an online campaign because volunteering or physically trying to do something was ruled out completely due to the pandemic.”

Why crowdfunding on ImpactGuru works for NGOs?

ImpactGuru crowdfunding helps NGOs around India accelerate their fundraising efforts. This efficient way of raising funds for any cause potentially reaches thousands of people online.

Power of story-

A donor would donate to the cause when a fundraiser resonates with them. For example, an animal lover would donate to a cause that helps animals. During the first and the second wave of Covid-19 donations increased on the platform multifold. Indians helped through virtual payments as physically helping a person was not a solution.

80G Tax Benefits

Many of the fundraisers on ImpactGuru come with tax benefits for the donors. They can access their 80G Tax Benefits certificate online.

Large Social Media Base

The social media base of ImpactGuru helps create awareness of the cause at hand. People either share the fundraiser or donate to the cause with the help of social media.
