The Batman 2022 Memes Tell Us What Crowdfunding Actually Feels Like

You would want to read until the end to get to the memes bit, but let us *fangirl* over Batman first. Spoilers included!

If you did not run to the theatres near you on March 4th of this month to watch The Batman, then we have a question, “What were you doing?!” After the release of DC’s most anticipated film of 2022, fans cheered in unison at the first view of the bat making his move from out of the shadows. Rusty Gotham city is yet again infested with crime and when the Bat-Signal makes its appearance on the dim sky of the city, the cape crusader turns up to save the day. Director Matt Reeves’ The Batman is everything a superhero movie should be. It is dark, has some of the best chase scenes (albeit a little longer than was necessary?) and makes sure you squint your eyes to find the classic arc of the bat lurking from the shadows. 

The Bat and the Cat 

With the release of this film, fans cannot stop drooling over the hints and connections for the future films and also the past, respectively. The Batman re-introduces Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman. Zoe was convincing in her acting delivery and along with her on-screen character, we also hoped for more between the two leads on screen. However, her fierce fight scenes had just the finesse the film needed. We hope we see her in all of the nine lives as we couldn't have enough of the feline felicity and her bouts of personal vendetta against.

Behold The Riddler 

Paul Dano as The Riddler couldn’t get any better with his mind-numbing, high profile murders to unnerving riddles that only Batman could solve. As the film progresses, we get to see thought-provoking riddles that connect the past of the notorious villain to Batman.

Towards the end of the film, Batman lights up a red flare and walks towards the higher ground through waist-deep water.
