Allow us to answer these important questions so that we can fully partake in breast cancer awareness month and make a difference.

Why Breast Cancer Awareness is Important?

Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer found in women all over the world.  According to Government data, on an average, nearly four out of ten women were diagnosed with the disease in India in 2020. Lack of awareness leads to late reporting of the cancer cases to the healthcare facility which is why it has a direct link to high mortality rates related to this particular cancer type.

According to the World Cancer Report 2020, the most effective way to keep breast cancer in control is early detection and quick treatment. It is well-known that treatment costs for all the later stages of breast cancer are quite expensive. As a result we can deduce that early diagnosis can lower the treatment costs. Let’s have a more clear view at what is the end result of breast cancer month.

  • Regular Checkups

It inspires women to get in touch with their healthcare provider and ensure whether they are at the risk for breast cancer.
