Impact Guru appoints Piyush Jain as Founder and CEO

New Delhi, May 11, 2015: Impact Guru today announced the appointment of Piyush Jain as Founder and CEO effective May 11. Piyush was previously on the Advisory Board. He has also advised leading organizations in the private, public, and social sectors in more than 30 countries on corporate social responsibility, impact investing, scaling social impact, corporate finance, and strategy related topics.

Piyush has always wanted to be a social change-maker and start something of his own. His passion for start-ups dates back to 1997. Only a teenager then, he started working as a CTO for a women empowerment portal, which is now a publicly listed venture in India. He has over 6 years of M&A investment banking, management consulting, and financial risk management experience at J.P.Morgan, Boston Consulting Group, and Ernst & Young while based in New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai.

He has an undergraduate degree from Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with honours as a Joseph Wharton Scholar and a graduate degree in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. At Harvard, he assisted Professor Ann Thornburg in teaching a class on Financial Management in Public and Nonprofit Organizations.
