Hello Everyone,
My name is Virendra Pratap Singh, and I am reaching out with a father’s deepest plea to save my son, Shashwat Singh. At just 17 years old, Shashwat has been bravely battling Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA Type 3) form childhood years — a rare and progressive genetic disorder that weakens the muscles over time, making even simple movements painful and difficult. Watching him lose the ability to do things other children take for granted has been the most heartbreaking experience of my life.
SMA Type 3 is cruel. It slowly robs children of their strength, mobility, and independence. Without the right treatment, Shashwat’s condition will continue to worsen. The doctors have recommended Risdiplam, a life-changing drug that can slow down the progression of SMA and help preserve his muscle strength. But we need to start this treatment urgently before it’s too late.
The challenge is the cost — ₹5 crore (₹50,000,000). This amount covers the medication, ongoing medical care, and rehabilitation that Shashwat desperately needs. As a family, we have exhausted all our savings and resources. We have borrowed wherever possible, but this enormous expense is far beyond our reach.
As a father, it is unbearable to watch my child’s dreams fade because of something as unfair as money. Shashwat is a bright, loving young boy with so much potential. He dreams of completing his studies, working, and living a full life. Without this treatment, those dreams may remain unfulfilled.
I am humbly asking for your help. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to saving Shashwat’s future. If you are unable to donate, you can still help us by sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, and social circles. The more people we reach, the greater our chance of meeting this goal.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, prayers, and generosity. Your support could give Shashwat the most precious gift — a chance to live a healthy, independent, and dignified life.
The goal amount of the campaign may be higher than the attached estimates to address and aid the post-hospitalization expenses/contingencies including but not limited to prolonged medication, diagnostics, rehabilitation therapies, and follow-up doctor visits/consultations which vary from disease to disease.
