Hi, I am Naveen, Usha’s brother,
My sister Usha has always been my everything. She’s not just my elder sister, she’s been my constant support, my protector, and my guiding light. From childhood till now, she stood by me through every high and low, and never let me feel alone, no matter what life threw our way.
It all started just two months ago when Usha began having terrible stomach aches, sharp pain under her ribs, and constant burning in her chest. At first, the doctors thought it was gallbladder stones, and we hoped it would pass, but then jaundice came, and her health just kept getting worse. She’s already had four stents put in to control infections, but even now she’s on painkillers and antibiotics every single day.
On 8th August 2024, we were told the one word we never thought we’d hear, cancer. Bile duct cancer. Bile duct cancer is a rare but aggressive disease that begins in the slender tubes carrying bile from the liver to the small intestine, and is often diagnosed late and difficult to treat. Since then, she’s been battling nonstop, and the doctors are also keeping a close watch on a sepsis infection. Right now, she is being given IV fluids and strong antibiotics until the infection in her liver clears. Only then can they even think about surgery. The doctors said the next diagnosis will be in about 7 days, and that surgery itself will be very critical. In the worst case, it could even come down to a liver transplant.

It’s hard to see someone who was always there for you in so much pain. But I know Usha, at 42 years of age, is a fighter and just needs the chance to heal.
Doctors have advised that liver surgery will help her recover.
However, the staggering cost of Usha’s treatment is in lakhs.
My family and I have tried every possible way to arrange the amount needed for her treatments and medications, but we are falling short of financial resources.

ಇಷ್ಟು ನೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದವರನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟ. ಆದರೆ 42 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಉಷಾ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಗುಣಮುಖರಾಗಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ.
ಲಿವರ್ ಸರ್ಜರಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ವೈದ್ಯರು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಉಷಾ ಅವರ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ವೆಚ್ಚವು ಲಕ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
ನನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಅವರ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಔಷಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಮೊತ್ತವನ್ನು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಆದರೆ ನಮಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳ ಕೊರತೆಯಿದೆ.
ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರಿ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಮುಕ್ತ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅವಳು ಅರ್ಹವಾದ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಕಾರಣರಾಗಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಣಿಗೆ ಉಷಾ ಅವರ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ!
