My name is Prachi Thakur, and I am writing this with a heavy heart and a daughter’s deep love. I am raising funds for my beloved father, Shyam Kumar Thakur, who is bravely battling stomach cancer and is currently undergoing treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Watching my father—our family’s strong pillar suffer through this serious illness has been the hardest thing I’ve ever faced. He has always been my protector, my guide, and my greatest inspiration. With his gentle words and warm smile, he taught me courage and kindness. Now, when he needs us most, our hearts ache to see him in pain.

When we first heard the diagnosis, it felt like our world shattered. The doctors at Tata Memorial Hospital explained that his condition is critical and that he needs urgent, ongoing treatment to have any chance of recovery. We want him to come home healthy again, celebrating life with us, but the path ahead is both long and expensive.

So far, we have spent ₹5,00,000 (5 lakhs) from our savings and humble community support. But the doctors estimate that we need an additional ₹10,00,000 (10 lakhs) to cover further surgery, chemotherapy, hospital stays, tests, and essential medications. This total of ₹15,00,000 (15 lakhs) is far beyond what our family can manage.

As a daughter whose world revolves around her father, I cannot watch him fight alone. That is why I am turning to kind-hearted people like you. माझे वडील हे आमच्या कुटुंबाचे मजबूत आधारस्तंभ आहेत. त्यांना इतक्या गंभीर आजाराने ग्रासून घेतल्यामुळे त्यांच्या दुःखात पाहणं माझ्यासाठी सर्वात कठीण आहे. ते नेहमीच माझे रक्षक, मार्गदर्शक आणि प्रेरणास्थान राहिले आहेत. त्यांच्या सौम्य शब्दांनी आणि उबदार हास्याने त्यांनी मला धैर्य आणि मृदुता शिकवली. आता जेव्हा त्यांना आपल्या मदतीची सर्वात गरज आहे, तेव्हा त्यांना वेदना तळपताना पाहून मन तुटतं.

जेव्हा आम्हाला हा आजार समजला, तेव्हा आमचं जगच कोसळल्यासारखं वाटलं. टाटा मेमोरियल रुग्णालयातील डॉक्टरांनी सांगितले की त्यांची स्थिती अत्यंत गंभीर आहे आणि बरे होण्यासाठी तातडीने आणि अखंडपणे उपचार सुरु ठेवणे आवश्यक आहे. आम्हाला हवं आहे की ते लवकरात लवकर बरे होऊन आमच्या सोबत घरी परतावेत, पण पुढील वाट खूप दीर्घ आणि खर्चिक आहे.

आता पर्यंत आम्ही आपल्या बचतीतून आणि स्थानिक मदतीतून ₹5,00,000 (5 लाख रुपये) खर्च केले आहेत. तरीही डॉक्टरांच्या मते आणखी ₹10,00,000 (10 लाख रुपये) लागतीलशस्त्रक्रिया, रासायनिक उपचार (केमोथेरपी), रुग्णालयातील वास्तव्य, चाचण्या, औषधे आणि इतर खर्च यासाठी. या एकूण ₹15,00,000 (15 लाख रुपये) ची रक्कम आमच्या कुटुंबाच्या ताकतीपेक्षा खूप अधिक आहे.

वडील माझ्या जगातले सर्वस्व आहेत, आणि मी त्यांना एकटे लढताना बघू शकत नाही. म्हणूनच मी आपल्या दयाळू लोकांकडे मनापासून मदतीची विनंती करत आहे. आपले छोटेसे योगदानही माझ्या वडिलांना वेळेवर उपचार घेण्यासाठी मदत करेल. प्रत्येक रुपया थेट त्यांच्या वैद्यकीय बिलांवर वापरला जाईल.
