Hello, my name is Makarand Shivaji Shityalkar. I am reaching out with folded hands to save my father, who is everything to us – our guide, our strength, and the backbone of our family.

On 12th September, tragedy struck. While dropping my younger sister at the station, my father was hit head-on at Roha Ashtami Bridge by a bike coming from the wrong side at more than 100 km/hr. In a single moment, reckless speeding destroyed our peace and left my father fighting for his life.

The impact was devastating. My father suffered multiple facial fractures, fractures in both wrists, a knee (patella) fracture, and serious head injuries. Initially, we admitted him to Dr. Bhat Nursing Home, Roha, but due to the severity of his injuries, doctors immediately referred him to Apollo Hospital for advanced treatment.

At Apollo, doctors confirmed that my father requires multiple brain and facial surgeries, along with prolonged ICU care. The estimated cost of this treatment is over ₹25 lakh.

Although we have a ₹10 lakh health insurance policy with Care Insurance, the company has denied providing cashless support. Without immediate cash, arranging such a huge sum has become impossible for us. We have already exhausted our savings, and each passing day, the hospital bills are rising.

My mother and younger sister are devastated, and our once happy family of four is now living in constant fear and uncertainty. My father is not just our strength – he is our everything – and without him, our family feels broken.

12 सप्टेंबर रोजी दुर्दैवी घटना घडली. माझ्या लहान बहिणीला स्थानकावर सोडताना, माझ्या वडिलांना रोहा अष्टमी पूलावर समोरून येणाऱ्या एका मोटारसायकलने 100 किमी/तास पेक्षा जास्त वेगाने धडक दिली. एका क्षणातच या असावधानतेमुळे आमचे जीवन उलथापालथ झाले आणि माझे वडील जीवासाठी लढत आहेत.

धडक अतिशय गंभीर होती. माझ्या वडिलांना अनेक चेहऱ्याच्या फ्रॅक्चर, दोन्ही मनगटांचे फ्रॅक्चर, गुडघ्याचा (पॅटेला) फ्रॅक्चर आणि गंभीर डोक्याचे जखमा झाल्या. सुरुवातीला त्यांना डॉ. भाट नर्सिंग होम, रोहा मध्ये दाखल केले, पण जखमांच्या गंभीरतेमुळे डॉक्टरांनी त्यांना अपोलो हॉस्पिटलमध्ये प्रगत उपचारासाठी त्वरित हलवले.

अपोलो येथे डॉक्टरांनी सांगितले की माझ्या वडिलांना अनेक मेंदू आणि चेहऱ्याच्या शस्त्रक्रिया कराव्या लागतील, तसेच दीर्घकालीन ICU काळजी आवश्यक आहे. या उपचारांचा अंदाजे खर्च ₹25 लाखांपेक्षा जास्त आहे.

जरी आमच्याकडे Care Insurance कडून ₹10 लाखांची हेल्थ पॉलिसी आहे, तरी कंपनीने कॅशलॅस सुविधा दिली नाही. त्वरित रोकड न मिळाल्यामुळे इतक्या मोठ्या रकमेची व्यवस्था करणे आमच्यासाठी अशक्य झाले आहे. आम्ही आमची बचत पूर्णपणे खर्च केली आहे, आणि प्रत्येक दिवस जसजसा जातो, हॉस्पिटलच्या बिलांची रक्कम वाढत आहे.

माझी आई आणि लहान बहिणी भावनिकरित्या उद्ध्वस्त आहेत, आणि आमचे पूर्वीचे आनंदाचे कुटुंब आता सतत भय आणि अनिश्चिततेत जगत आहे. माझे वडील आमची ताकद आहेत – ते आमचे सर्वकाही आहेत – आणि त्यांशिवाय आमचे कुटुंब तुटलेले वाटते.
