My name is Ponraj S, and I am reaching out with a heart full of hope and fear to seek support for my beloved son, Sarveswaran, who is bravely battling B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). I am raising funds to save my son’s life, as hearing that your child has cancer is every parent’s worst nightmare — and our family is living through that painful reality every single day.

Sarveswaran is only 8 years old and was diagnosed with leukemia in January 2025. He is currently undergoing intensive treatment at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry. The treatment journey has been long, exhausting, and emotionally overwhelming. My son has endured painful procedures, repeated hospital visits, and severe physical weakness caused by aggressive chemotherapy. Despite everything, he continues to fight with courage and an innocent smile that gives us strength.

Our family has already faced immense hardship. I am 36 years old and have been undergoing treatment myself after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in November 2024. I have completed 21 cycles of chemotherapy so far, with each cycle costing around ₹95,000. We are also struggling with a pending home loan of ₹31 lakhs. Adding to our grief, we lost my mother, Sanja, to metastatic breast cancer in September 2022.

We have spent all our savings on treatments, hospitalisation, medicines, and tests. Doctors have now advised that Sarveswaran will require a Bone Marrow Transplant, which is critical for his survival. The estimated cost of the remaining treatment is between ₹25,00,000 and ₹35,00,000 — an amount far beyond our financial capacity.

As a father, it is heartbreaking to watch my child suffer while knowing that timely and uninterrupted treatment can save his life. Any delay could seriously affect his recovery, and time is extremely critical.

சர்வேஸ்வரன் தற்போது 8 வயது மட்டுமே. அவருக்கு ஜனவரி 2025ல் லூகேமியா நோய் கண்டறியப்பட்டது. தற்போது அவர் புதுச்சேரியில் உள்ள ஜவஹர்லால் இன்ஸ்டிடியூட் ஆஃப் போஸ்ட் கிராஜுவேட் மெடிக்கல் எஜுகேஷன் அண்ட் ரிசர்ச் (JIPMER) மருத்துவமனையில் தீவிர சிகிச்சை பெற்று வருகிறார். இந்த சிகிச்சைப் பயணம் மிகவும் நீண்டதும், உடல் மற்றும் மன ரீதியாக மிகவும் களைப்பூட்டுவதாகவும் உள்ளது. கடுமையான கீமோதெரபி சிகிச்சையால் ஏற்பட்ட வலி, மீண்டும் மீண்டும் மருத்துவமனைக்கு செல்ல வேண்டிய நிலை, உடல் பலவீனம் போன்ற அனைத்தையும் என் மகன் தைரியமாக எதிர்கொண்டு வருகிறான். இத்தனைக்கும் நடுவிலும் அவன் காட்டும் புன்னகை எங்களுக்கு நம்பிக்கையை அளிக்கிறது.

மருத்துவச் செலவுகள், மருந்துகள், பரிசோதனைகள் மற்றும் மருத்துவமனைச் செலவுகளுக்காக எங்களின் அனைத்து சேமிப்புகளையும் பயன்படுத்தி விட்டோம். தற்போது மருத்துவர்கள் சர்வேஸ்வரனின் உயிரைக் காப்பாற்ற Bone Marrow Transplant அவசியம் என்று கூறியுள்ளனர். மீதமுள்ள சிகிச்சைக்கான செலவு சுமார் ₹25,00,000 முதல் ₹35,00,000 வரை இருக்கும் என்று மதிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த பெரிய தொகையை எங்கள் குடும்பம் தனியாக ஏற்பது இயலாத நிலைமை.
