I cannot help but think about how my wife wished for our newborn to come into his world, holding our baby close. We couldn’t wait for the day to arrive but during the course of my wife’s pregnancy, things took a turn…

Saranya faced high-risk pregnancy complications and now, both my wife and my baby are fighting for their lives in the ICU.

What began as unbearable pain turned into an emergency surgery. I watched doctors rush her into the operating theatre, not knowing what was in  store for my family. Our baby was born into machines, wires, and fear, taken straight into critical care. “They have to remain under strict medical observation and critical care,” said the doctors about my wife Saranya and our newborn baby. 

I am the only earning member of our family. Every rupee I earn is for my wife and child, but this fight is bigger than anything I can manage alone. We have already spent whatever savings we had, borrowed what little we could. But, the bills keep rising.

Doctors have advised that both the mother and baby need continued ICU monitoring to survive.

I feel helpless, but I refuse to give up. The only thing that matters is the health of my wife and child. Today, I ask you to be someone who helps my family recover.
