Great News!!,

Neeshita has been selected to represent India in the Female under 49Kg category at the Youth Olympic Games' Qualifier tournament to be held at Hammamet in Tunisia between the 6th and 7th of April.

Her registration for the tournament is also confirmed - (https://worldtkd.simplycompete.com/eventParticipantList/11e804e4-a122-8a05-9513-0243c4f9f7fc)

As on date there are 50 registered participants - hence she has the opportunity to see the game at close quarters of players from 49 other countries! A fantastic opportunity to learn indeed. This group is also the one that is most competitive - all other groups have fewer confirmed participants.

She now needs to be in the top 8 of this group of elite players in order to confirm her berth at the main Youth Olympic Event at Buenos Aires. Considering a draw lot of 64, she will need to win at the least of the possible 6 matches to the Pole position!

Team Neeshita invites you again to shower your blessings and good wishes in any and every form towards the success of her endeavours!

I am Suneet Kotwal and I am raising money for my daughter to train to represent India at the Youth Olympic Games 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This is important to me because Neeshita is fortunately fitting into the narrow criterion of the games (DOB between 1/1/2001 to 31/12/2002) to represent the country in addition to her track record at the national level over the last couple of years in her sport of Tae-Kwon-Do. This will be an important stepping stone towards representing the country at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020....

If she is able to make it with your support, it will be a big boost for sports in India. We consider your contribution as a blessing for her endeavours.

The fund requirement is steep and in too short a time and cannot be raised from my resources.

She would also need to participate in at least one of the following events before she qualifies to represent the country at the YOG qualifying tournament to be held in Hammamet, Tunisia on the 6th & 7th of April.

  • Ranking tournament participation (valid options - at least 1 of the following)

    • February 6-9 Istanbul, Turkey European Clubs Championships 2018

    • February 10-14 Istanbul, Turkey Turkish Open 2018

    • February 16-18 Fujairah, UAE 6th Fujairah Open 2018

    • February 24-25 Alexandria, Egypt 2018 Egypt Open 2018

    • February 24-25 Maribor, Slovenia Slovenia Open 2018

    • March 1-4 Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Open Championship 2018

Further, an amount of approx 6L will be required for competition equipment that she would need to train on before she can play on the standard electronic scoring system used internationally. This equipment will be useful to the entire team training with Neeshita and Rutuja (also training for the same events) well beyond the present tournament requirement,

The large campaign goal amount includes her costs associated with her travel expenses along with hear coach Pravin Borse and Arvind Nishad over the next couple of months.

Support here from a large no of people will also teach the younger generation that there are people in the world who would support an appropriate cause. I am therefore requesting for your help to achieve this. Please help by donating or sharing the fundraiser with your friends and family.

We are grateful for your help!
