I am Ayushi Singh, and watching my mother, Jasmine, fight this illness has been the hardest thing I’ve ever lived through. When she was first diagnosed with  B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (blood cancer) in September, we held on to hope with everything we had. We believed the treatment was working, that we were finally moving toward normal life again. But in December, that hope shattered. The cancer came back, faster, stronger, and more ruthless.

I see her now in the ICU, surrounded by machines, her body exhausted from chemotherapy, her immunity so low that even a small infection could be dangerous. The woman who once took care of everyone is now so weak that some days she can barely speak, and I stand there feeling helpless, terrified of losing her.

The doctors say she needs urgent salvage chemotherapy and then CAR T-cell therapy to survive. There is no time to wait, no room for delays. Every day feels like a race against the disease.

My mother doesn’t talk about big dreams, she just wants to feel normal again, to wake up without pain, to have the strength to smile and live peacefully. As her daughter, my only dream is to see her healthy, active, and back home where she belongs. I am fighting with everything I have to save her life, because I cannot imagine a world without my mother.

मैं आयुषी सिंह हूँ, और अपनी माँ, जैस्मीन को इस बीमारी से लड़ते देखना मेरी ज़िंदगी का सबसे मुश्किल अनुभव रहा है। जब सितंबर में उन्हें पहली बार बी-सेल एक्यूट लिम्फोब्लास्टिक ल्यूकेमिया (ब्लड कैंसर) का पता चला, तो हमने पूरी उम्मीद बनाए रखी। हमें विश्वास था कि इलाज काम कर रहा है, और हम आखिरकार फिर से नॉर्मल ज़िंदगी की तरफ बढ़ रहे हैं। लेकिन दिसंबर में, वह उम्मीद टूट गई। कैंसर वापस आ गया, पहले से ज़्यादा तेज़ी से, ज़्यादा मज़बूत और ज़्यादा बेरहम होकर।

मैं अब उन्हें ICU में देखती हूँ, मशीनों से घिरी हुई, कीमोथेरेपी से उनका शरीर थक गया है, उनकी इम्यूनिटी इतनी कम है कि एक छोटा सा इन्फेक्शन भी खतरनाक हो सकता है। जो औरत कभी सबका ख्याल रखती थी, वह अब इतनी कमज़ोर हो गई है कि कुछ दिन तो वह मुश्किल से बोल पाती है, और मैं वहाँ असहाय खड़ी रहती हूँ, उन्हें खोने के डर से सहमी हुई।

डॉक्टरों का कहना है कि उन्हें बचने के लिए तुरंत साल्वेज कीमोथेरेपी और फिर CAR T-सेल थेरेपी की ज़रूरत है। इंतज़ार करने का समय नहीं है, देरी की कोई गुंजाइश नहीं है। हर दिन बीमारी के खिलाफ एक दौड़ जैसा लगता है।
