At the age of dreaming about a future career or growing stronger, my son Parth faces extreme weakness instead. Severe swelling in his feet and even difficulty with basic bodily functions have disrupted his life at just 17.
I still remember how I felt when the doctors at Action Cancer Hospital, Delhi said to us that Parth suffers from Stage 4 Lung Cancer with something I had never heard of before- a solitary fibrous tumor. (a rare, slow-growing connective tissue tumour).
The symptoms he faces include intestinal obstruction, rectum displacement, extremely low urine output, urine retention in the pelvic area, along with the inability to consume food or even medicines without discomfort.

Parth’s Journey So Far
After just one cycle of chemotherapy was administered, my son had to stop treatment as his body could not tolerate it. Now, he receives palliative care as his body is unresponsive to any other treatment options. Medication is our family’s hope as we are searching for hospitals and doctors to continue care since my son needs immediate medical support and guidance.
Parth’s grandparents, sister and my wife are holding onto the hope to see Parth’s smile again. To help him receive the treatment, we have spent around 30 lakh rupees and even sought help from friends and relatives and personal savings.
