I will never forget November 9th, the day our world was turned upside down. My father suddenly became so weak that he could not stand or walk. Within hours, his condition deteriorated, and we rushed him to the hospital. After many tests, we received the heartbreaking diagnosis: GBS, a rare disease where the body’s immune system attacks its own nerves.

My name is Chavala Nagendra, and I am reaching out to ask for your help in saving my father, Chavala Venkata Subbaiah. My father, who is 60 years old, is fighting for his life against a devastating illness called Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS).

Since then, our journey has been a nightmare. Initially, my father was admitted to SVIMS Hospital in Tirupati, but due to complications, we had to move him to Srikara Hospital in Kadapa. Now, he is on a ventilator through a tracheostomy, his lungs badly affected by pneumonia and a ventilator-acquired infection. His blood pressure is dangerously unstable, and his kidneys are severely affected by the strong medications. 

My father is an agricultural labourer, the pillar of our small family. We are a small family. Our annual income is only 4 lakh rupees, and we have already spent more than 5.5 lakh rupees on his treatment. 

Now, we urgently need help to cover his medicine and ICU charges. My father’s recovery depends on starting this treatment within the next two days. Without your support, we have no way to continue fighting for his life.

My father has always dreamed of seeing me get married and playing with his grandchildren. I still remember, as we rushed him to the hospital, he held my hand and, with tears in his eyes, told me he wanted to recover and see our family happy again.
