My name is Abhijit Chowdhury, and I am writing this appeal with a heart full of pain and hope. I am raising funds for my elder brother, Ajoy Chowdhury, a dedicated ICU nurse at Manipal Hospitals, Dhakuria, Kolkata. For the past five years, he has selflessly served countless patients in critical condition, standing by them in their toughest moments, providing care, and often helping them survive. Today, he is the one in urgent need of help.
Ajoy was returning home after a long shift when he was hit by a goods train near Ballygunge Railway Station in Kolkata. The accident was sudden, brutal, and has left him with multiple life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to Manipal Hospitals Dhakuria, where he is currently undergoing intensive treatment. His condition is critical, and the doctors are doing everything they can to save him.
The total cost of his treatment is ₹14,60,500, an amount that is beyond anything our family can afford. His aging parents, his wife, and his 4-month-old baby back home in Tripura are entirely dependent on him, emotionally and financially. He is not just the pillar of our family, but also a role model to me personally, as I follow in his footsteps to become a healthcare professional.
We are completely shattered and helpless in the face of this tragedy. I humbly request your support to help us continue his treatment without delay. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in giving Ajoy the chance to recover and return to his family and the patients who need him.
