On the morning of 17th September 2025, our lives changed forever.
My son, Aditya Puri, only 28 years old, suddenly collapsed after suffering a massive stroke. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered a 3.5 cm clot at the base of his skull — a life-threatening condition. Within hours, he lost movement on the right side of his body.
Doctors performed an emergency mechanical thrombectomy to remove the clot. But his condition worsened due to severe brain swelling (cerebral oedema). Just yesterday, he underwent a life-saving decompressive craniectomy (open brain surgery) to relieve pressure on his brain. He is now in the ICU on a ventilator, fighting for his life under round-the-clock critical care.
Aditya is our only son. We, his parents, are both above 75 years and come from a modest family in Pune. With our combined income of just ₹35,000–40,000 per month, we manage only basic household needs. Aditya has always been our support, our strength, and our hope for the future.
His sudden collapse has left us shattered — emotionally, physically, and financially.
In just 2.5 days, the hospital bills have already crossed ₹20 lakhs due to emergency surgeries, ICU charges, ventilator care, and medications. Doctors estimate the costs could reach ₹50–60 lakhs or more, depending on how his recovery progresses.
We have no means to bear this crushing financial burden alone.
