“My father has always been the strongest person I know. Even when life threw challenges at him, he stood tall. But today, at just 52 years old, I see him fighting battles that no one should ever have to face.”
My father, Adesh, is currently being treated at Medanta–The Medicity, Gurugram. In January 2024, he was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and extra-pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB). It all started with painful symptoms, frequent urination, urinary tract infections, and even blood in his urine. What we thought were minor health issues turned out to be something far more serious.
Since then, his life has been a series of hospital visits, medicines, and procedures. He is on Anti-Tuberculosis Treatment (ATT) and has a DJ stent placed to help his kidneys for now. The doctors have told us that once the TB treatment is completed, the stent will need to be removed and surgery will have to be done to treat his kidney disease. Until then, he is visiting the hospital regularly on an OPD basis.

As his daughter, it breaks me to see him go through this. “The hardest thing,” he once said to me, “is not the pain, but watching your family worry about you.” And he is right. My father has always been our pillar of strength, but today, he needs us to hold him up.
We are a small family, my mother, my younger brother, and me. I am the only earning member. We have already spent most of our savings and even raised some funds from my workplace, but the cost of treatment has been overwhelming. The hospital bill feels heavy. Despite everything, I try to stay strong for my father and family, because I know dad is fighting with all his courage.
I believe that with the right treatment and surgery, dad can recover and live a healthy life again. But we cannot do it alone. That is why I am reaching out, with all the hope I have left, to ask for your support.
Your contribution will help my father complete his treatment and surgery. Together, we can give him a chance to live the life he deserves. Please Help!
