On the night of the 12th of November 2025, life changed for not just Ranjit but everyone who loves him. He faced a tragic road accident as his bike collided with a truck. A family man and businessman, Ranjit was left gasping for every next breath as his world went blank. With multiple fractures to his face, shoulder and abdomen and even a severe brain injury with poly trauma and bleeding.

“He needs a continuous hospital stay,” said the doctors at Sahyadri Super Speciality Hospital, Nashik. “I never thought I would see my husband fighting for dear life,” says his wife in tears.

Ever since the accident, Ranjit has had to undergo surgeries and was shifted to a special ward. He underwent a tracheostomy (a surgical procedure to create an opening in the neck into the windpipe, through which a tube is inserted to provide an airway). He has been on ventilator and oxygen support and IV fluids. During his time in the hospital, his family has spent more than 14 lakhs for his treatment.

But, Ranjit’s road to recovery remains crucial. He is still fighting with every breath he takes in the hospital. Long-term rehabilitation can also give him strength ahead. 

“My husband’s only dream is to stand on his own two feet soon.” ‘When will Papa come back home?” Every word and thought that his family speaks has only been about Ranjit since the accident that fateful Wednesday.
