On 2 August 2026, around 8 PM, my brother-in-law Daljeet Singh met with a devastating road accident. In that one moment, our family’s life changed completely.

He suffered a severe traumatic brain injury with Subdural Hemorrhage (SDH), Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH), brain swelling, and an occipital bone fracture. Doctors had to perform emergency brain surgery to control the bleeding and reduce the pressure on his brain.

Today, Daljeet is still in the ICU on ventilator support, unconscious/semi-conscious and under constant monitoring. His condition remains extremely serious, and the doctors have told us that the coming days are crucial for his survival and recovery. He needs uninterrupted ICU care, ventilator support, medicines to control the swelling, and continuous neurological monitoring.

I have seen how much Daljeet means to his family, and it is heartbreaking to see them waiting for him to come back. He is the sole earning member, with his wife and three children depending on him, including his little four-month-old baby. Right now, they are not only praying for his recovery but also struggling to keep his treatment going as the medical expenses continue to rise.

Please save Daljeet’s life! 

All we want is to see Daljeet open his eyes, hold his baby again, stand beside his wife, and return home to his children.

2 अगस्त 2026 को रात करीब 8 बजे, मेरे जीजाजी दलजीत सिंह का एक भयानक सड़क हादसा हो गया। उस एक पल में हमारे परिवार की ज़िंदगी पूरी तरह बदल गई।

उन्हें सिर में गंभीर चोट (traumatic brain injury) लगी, जिसमें सबड्यूरल हैमरेज (SDH), सबअराक्नोइड हैमरेज (SAH), दिमाग में सूजन और ओसीसीपिटल बोन (सिर के पिछले हिस्से की हड्डी) का फ्रैक्चर शामिल था। ब्लीडिंग रोकने और दिमाग पर दबाव कम करने के लिए डॉक्टरों को इमरजेंसी ब्रेन सर्जरी करनी पड़ी।

आज भी दलजीत ICU में वेंटिलेटर सपोर्ट पर हैं; वे बेहोश या अर्ध-चेतन अवस्था में हैं और लगातार निगरानी में हैं। उनकी हालत बहुत गंभीर बनी हुई है, और डॉक्टरों ने हमें बताया है कि उनके बचने और ठीक होने के लिए आने वाले कुछ दिन बहुत अहम हैं। उन्हें लगातार ICU देखभाल, वेंटिलेटर सपोर्ट, सूजन कम करने वाली दवाएं और लगातार न्यूरोलॉजिकल निगरानी की ज़रूरत है।

मैंने देखा है कि दलजीत अपने परिवार के लिए कितने मायने रखते हैं, और उन्हें वापस आने का इंतज़ार करते देखना दिल तोड़ने वाला है। वे परिवार में अकेले कमाने वाले सदस्य हैं; उनकी पत्नी और तीन बच्चे (जिनमें चार महीने का छोटा बच्चा भी शामिल है) उन पर निर्भर हैं। अभी, वे न सिर्फ़ उनके ठीक होने की दुआ कर रहे हैं, बल्कि इलाज जारी रखने के लिए भी संघर्ष कर रहे हैं क्योंकि मेडिकल का खर्च लगातार बढ़ रहा है।

हम बस यही चाहते हैं कि दलजीत अपनी आँखें खोलें, अपने बच्चे को फिर से गोद में लें, अपनी पत्नी के साथ खड़े हों और अपने बच्चों के पास घर लौटें।
