“Dad, you’ve always been my hero. Now it’s my turn to be yours.” - Vipul

Combination Of Severe Illness
Recently, Binod, my Dad had bleeding in his brain, which they call a frontal intracerebral haemorrhage. It’s scary because it affects his ability to think and move normally. On top of that, his heart isn’t working as well as it should. The doctors say his heart’s pumping strength is low, only about 30% which makes him weak and tired.
He is currently 56 years of age and his kidneys aren’t doing well either - they’ve been damaged recently and aren’t filtering his blood the way they’re supposed to. His body is swollen all over because of fluid buildup, which they call anasarca. It’s like his whole body is struggling simultaneously, and I can see how exhausted he feels.

After all the diagnoses, the doctors at The Calcutta Medical Research Institute in Kolkata advised Dad to get dialysis and medications right away.

What makes it even harder is that he’s been fighting other long-term health issues for years, like diabetes and high blood pressure. He even had heart surgery a while back to improve things, but now it feels like we’re back in this really scary place.
Seeing him like this hurts so much. My dad has always been the one I could turn to for advice, strength, and comfort. And now, I feel like I need to be strong for him, but it’s not easy.
I just hope he knows how much he means to me and how much I love him. No matter what happens, I want to be there by his side, giving him all the strength and support he needs.

I want to be there for him in every way I can, to remind him that he’s not alone in this fight. But it is not enough, I need your help too. With your support and donations, we can give Dad the treatment he needs.
Note: To help you connect with Binod's journey, we have used AI-generated or stock images to represent his struggles. These images aim to convey the physical and emotional challenges critically ill patients and their families face. While they are not Binod's actual photos, they serve as a visual reminder of the pain and suffering behind his fight. Your support (donation and story shares) can bring hope to him.
I may not be able to take my Dad’s pain away, but I’ll stand by his side through it all.
