Currently: Sadiya is still in a coma and has been in the ICU for the past 16 days. Her family waits for her to gain consciousness.
I will never forget the 2nd of April, the day our lives took a drastic turn. My children were returning home from school after just completing their examinations.
My son was bringing his younger sisters back home. But, fate intervened. A speeding car recklessly crashed into them. In this tragic accident, I lost my beloved and brave son, who tried his best to protect his young sisters.
The news devastated our family. I lost my son but….
My 13-year-old daughter, Sadiya was critically injured as well. She fell into a coma, unconscious, lost mobility in her hand and leg and overcome with a brain injury.
I look at my little Sadiya’s face and can’t help but shed a tear. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day but now, she needs machines to survive. After already undergoing one surgery, Sadiya is going to need a lot more to survive this fight.
Her doctors at Arkan Super Speciality Hospital, Hyderabad, Telangana, tell me, “Your daughter needs an ICU stay as well as physiotherapy.”
