On March 20, 2026, our peaceful world was completely shattered when my beloved wife, Rinku Routh, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) with FLT3 mutation—an incredibly aggressive form of blood cancer. Since that fateful day, our lives have been a nonstop battle against time, fear, and severe medical complications.
Rinku is currently undergoing treatment at Sahyadri Manipal Hospital, Nagar Road, Pune. She has endured multiple hospitalisations, gruelling chemotherapy cycles, and dangerous drops in her white blood cell and platelet counts. On June 18, 2026, she underwent a Bone Marrow Transplant, but despite 26 painful days of intensive hospital care, the transplant was tragically unsuccessful.
Determined to save her mother, our 8-year-old daughter courageously stepped forward as a stem cell donor, giving her own cells to give her mother another chance at life. Rinku underwent her second Bone Marrow Transplant on July 25, 2026. However, severe respiratory complications followed, and she is currently fighting for every breath in the ICU, supported by a Non-Invasive Ventilator (NIV).
Watching my wife endure so much physical trauma while our little 8-year-old girl prays for her mother's recovery breaks my heart into a thousand pieces every single second.
So far, we have spent over ₹30,00,000, completely exhausting our lifetime savings and borrowing from every possible source. But her ongoing ICU care, non-invasive ventilation support, intensive chemotherapy, donor procedures, blood product support, and post-transplant monitoring require continuous financial support that we can no longer afford on our own.
I am Vishal Thakur, and today I humbly fold my hands to beg for your kindness and generosity. My wife and young daughter have shown unimaginable bravery, and I cannot lose Rinku to a lack of funds. Every single contribution, no matter how small, directly pays for her ICU care and transplant recovery. If you cannot donate, please share her story with your family, friends, and social networks. Your prayers and generosity mean everything to us.
The goal amount of the campaign may be higher than the attached estimates to address and aid the post-hospitalization expenses/contingencies including but not limited to prolonged medication, diagnostics, rehabilitation therapies, and follow-up doctor visits/consultations which vary from disease to disease.
