She is the younger one, but I’ve always seen her as more responsible, caring, and kind-hearted. What was once a home full of happy faces has now turned into a place of constant worry and silent prayers for our sweet, loving Manasa.
My name is Manoj Kumar, and I am reaching out to you today to help bring my sister back home, who is currently battling chronic kidney disease.
My 36-year-old sister, Manasa, is suffering from AKI on CKD (Acute Kidney Injury on Chronic Kidney Disease). This combination is more severe than either condition alone, carries a poorer prognosis, and can rapidly worsen kidney function.
Manasa is in critical condition. She is undergoing SLED (Slow Low Efficiency Dialysis) and Plasmapheresis, along with immunosuppressive injections and high-dose antibiotics. Her condition is being closely monitored and requires aggressive, continuous medical intervention.
Since 18th June 2025, our family has had sleepless nights. Manasa has developed swelling in both legs, puffiness in her face and upper limbs, and suffers from a severe cough.
We don’t know how long her recovery will take.
Doctors at Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, Hyderabad, have recommended continuing SLED Dialysis, Plasmapheresis (PLEX), and immunosuppressive therapy. This treatment is critical and time-sensitive, and any interruption could lead to serious complications.
Manasa’s treatment is extremely crucial but comes at a very high cost. And now our hope only lies in people like you.
