My name is Harish G, and I am reaching out to you with a completely shattered heart to plead for the life of my 21-year-old younger brother, Mukesh G. For the past year, Mukesh has been bravely fighting severe pulmonary hypertension. Tragically, his condition recently took a devastating turn for the worse, causing him to develop a critical lung infection and a secondary heart infection (sepsis).
His health has deteriorated at a terrifying pace, and he is currently fighting for his life under strict medical supervision at the Dr Rela Institute and Medical Centre. The doctors have delivered a staggering verdict: his only chance at survival is an urgent, life-saving double heart and lung transplant.
At just 21, Mukesh is at the very beginning of his life. He is a boy full of innocence, kindness, and big dreams for the future. Seeing him confined to a hospital bed, hooked up to life-support machines, and gasping for every breath is a nightmare that is tearing our family apart. We come from a very humble, hardworking background.
Our parents toil day and night as agricultural coolie labourers, and my elder sister and I work in small private companies just to keep our household running. Mukesh is the joy of our home, and watching him fade away kills us a little more each day.
The total cost for his advanced medical care, intensive ICU stabilisation, and the life-saving heart and lung transplant surgery is an astronomical ₹35,00,000. We have done everything humanly possible to save him. By wiping out our lifetime savings, borrowing heavily from everyone we know, and selling our few family assets, we have already spent nearly ₹10,00,000. But now, we have hit a complete dead end. We are financially broken, empty-handed, and unable to afford the massive remaining costs to keep his treatment going.
I refuse to give up on my little brother, but my family cannot save him alone. I request you with folded hands and a desperate brother's heart to please stand by us and contribute toward Mukesh’s transplant surgery. No amount is too small—every single rupee brings a young 21-year-old boy one step closer to getting a new lease on life and returning home to his family.
If you are unable to donate, please do us the immense kindness of sharing his story on WhatsApp, Facebook, and with your friends. Your prayers and generosity are our absolute last hope. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
The goal amount of the campaign may be higher than the attached estimates to address and aid the post-hospitalization expenses/contingencies including but not limited to prolonged medication, diagnostics, rehabilitation therapies, and follow-up doctor visits/consultations which vary from disease to disease.
