My wife's heart functions at barely 20 to 25%!

Meet Lakshmi. The woman whom my daughter and I turn to for comfort, guidance, and strength. Watching her fight for her life has been the hardest thing that we have ever experienced.

On 23rd November 2025, when we were in Sweden, my wife suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was on ECMO support.

To give her the best chance of survival, she was airlifted from Europe to Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in Bengaluru while still on ECMO support. For months, our family lived with uncertainty, praying every day for a miracle. 

On 23 May 2026, she had an Acute Decompensated Heart Failure, she remains a heart failure survivor with a heart function of just 20–25% now.

She is bedridden and doctors have advised continuous monitoring of her vital signs, an experienced ICU-trained home nurse, regular medications, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and frequent follow-up visits to regain strength in her lower limbs.

Lakshmi’s greatest and only dream is to walk again and live independently.

My greatest wish, too, is to watch my wife heal. I want to see her walk around our home, smile without pain, and live the life she once enjoyed.

We have already spent lakhs on her treatment, rehabilitation, medications, and setting up ICU-level care at home. Our savings have been exhausted.
