Our little Trishant, just 2 years old, has been diagnosed with Thalassemia and urgently needs a Bone Marrow Transplant. His treatment is ongoing at Mazumdar Shaw Medical Center, Bommasandra, Bengaluru.
The cost of the treatment is in lakhs a sum that is beyond our means. As a father, it is devastating to see my child suffer and feel helpless because we cannot afford the necessary treatment to save his life.
What is Thalassemia?
Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder where the body doesn't produce enough haemoglobin, a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. This leads to fewer healthy red blood cells and can cause anaemia, making a person feel tired and weak. There are different types of thalassemia, ranging from mild to severe, depending on how much haemoglobin is affected.
Trishant, my adorable little child, the heart of our family, and his laughter and playful spirit have always been the brightest light in our lives. His joy is contagious, filling every corner of our home with love and warmth. But now, Thalassemia has cast a dark shadow over our happiness, threatening the light that Trishant brings into our world.

Watching our little boy, so full of life, struggle through the pain and the endless hospital visits has been unbearable.
