Life that we once knew came to a standstill. My father, Kunwar Singh has made me who I am but I have been watching him fight for his life for the past 6 years. “I miss those days when I was healthy,” he says to me. My heart aches for my father.
What troubles my father?
The doctors at The Medicity Hospital, Rudrapur in Uttarakhand diagnosed my father with the following diseases:
COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) – severe
Cor pulmonale (right-sided heart failure due to lung disease)
They mentioned that he is also a ‘Long Term Oxygen Therapy’ patient (LTOT)
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive lung disease that makes it hard to breathe due to restricted airflow. It encompasses conditions like chronic bronchitis and emphysema, characterized by persistent inflammation and damage to the airways and air sacs in the lungs.
My father is in a critical state and our family has already spent around a lakh for his treatment, but we still have a long way to go and are going to need your support to shine through for him.
