4-year-old Hardik Rajput was like any other child his age—full of energy, laughter, and dreams. He spent his days drawing colourful pictures and dancing with joy, often filling his home with happiness. 

But just two months ago, everything changed. Hardik began to experience severe pain in his legs. What his parents thought would be a simple visit to the doctor turned into a nightmare that no family could have prepared for!

Hardik was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological disorder where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the nerves. Over time, this condition caused muscle weakness and paralysis.

His parents watched helplessly as their vibrant boy's condition worsened. Hardik lost the ability to move, and soon after, his breathing became difficult. He turned pale, and froth started to come from his mouth. 

In a race against time, his family rushed him to the hospital, where he was immediately placed on a ventilator.

Today, Hardik remains in the hospital, relying on machines to help him breathe. His body, paralyzed below the neck, cannot move. His once cheerful voice, which filled his home, has fallen silent. For weeks, he hasn't spoken a word to his parents, who are longing to hear their son's voice again.

Despite the severity of his condition, Hardik is a fighter. Even at this young age, he dreams of becoming a doctor one day—of helping others, just as so many doctors are working hard to help him now. But his journey to recovery is long and challenging. 

The doctors at Numed Hospital have recommended that Hardik stay in the PICU for at least 30 more days, with ongoing ventilator support.

His family, while holding on to hope, is struggling financially. Hardik’s father works a private job and earns a modest income, while his mother stays at home to care for him and his two-year-old sister. With mounting medical bills and the uncertainty of their son’s future, the family is overwhelmed.

The goal amount of the campaign may be higher than the attached estimates to address and aid the post-hospitalization expenses/contingencies including but not limited to prolonged medication, diagnostics, rehabilitation therapies, and follow-up doctor visits/consultations which vary from disease to disease.

TREATMENT COST ESTIMATES
Impact Guru has no control over the cost estimates provided by hospitals / clinics / pharmaceutical companies etc. The cost estimates vary depending on the city and / or hospital where the patient is under treatment, professional fees of the treating doctors, drugs / medicines / therapies chosen for treatment by patient or patient’s family at their own discretion including but not limited to unique medical conditions / circumstances pertaining to each patient.
UTILIZATION OF FUNDS
In the rare scenario of surplus funds remaining within the fundraising campaign due to any of the following circumstances:
i) Completion of the Patient's treatment; ii) Receipt of requisite funding for the Patient from alternative sources; iii) Eligibility of the Patient for free treatment under any scheme or the receipt of free treatment by other means; iv) Demise of the Patient; v) Fulfilment of the fundraising campaign's objectives; vi) Termination of the fundraising campaign for any reason; vii) Reduction in the cost of the treatment
Impact Guru shall have the discretion that such surplus funds still left i) can be allocated to assist other patients on Impact Guru in their life-saving treatment, with the objective of maximizing social impact; ii) donors of the fundraising campaign at the sole discretion of Impact Guru may be offered the option to claim a pro-rata refund of surplus funds.
PATIENT DEATH UPDATE
Upon the death of the patient, the Campaigner / close relative / POC on behalf of the patient shall be duty bound to inform Impact Guru immediately within two (2) hours of such occurrence and turn off the donations tab (through the internal access granted) on the campaign on Impact Guru Platform in order to stop fundraising on the campaign. In the event Campaigner or authorised/designated POC on behalf of the patient fails to do so and campaign continues raising funds due to such non-information/non action, the Campaigner or authorised/designated POC on behalf of the patient shall be personally liable any consequences thereof; further, Impact Guru shall be disclaimed of all the liabilities occurring with respect to such post death fundraising and the such liability in entirety shall accrue on Campaigner or authorised/designated POC on behalf of the patient. In the event of death of the patient, Impact Guru’s Patient Death Policy at Terms Of Use shall apply.

Here, choose your payment mode (Paytm or Bank transfer/UPI), enter your transaction reference number, donation amount and click on "Confirm".

If you don’t acknowledge your donation, it will appear on the donor list as "Impact Guru donor." You will also have to acknowledge your donation for us to be able to generate your tax benefit certificate.

Is my donation amount publicly displayed?

Yes. You will find it under the "All Donations" tab on the fundraiser. If you would like to donate anonymously, please check the option while putting in your personal details. Your donation will still appear as "Impact Guru Donor."

If you’ve donated through PayTM, UPI or bank transfer options, please ensure you have acknowledged your donation on https://www.impactguru.com/payments to be able to find your name on the donor list.

I don’t live in India. Can I still donate on Impact Guru?

Yes, you can! You can donate through any International credit/debit card or make a wire transfer from anywhere in the world. However, you’ll have to use one of the accepted currencies to make your donation. These include: INR, USD, AED, GBP, SGD, HKD, AUD, CAD and Euro.

My donation didn’t go through. What do I do?

How do I know if a fundraiser offers tax benefits?

For fundraisers that offer Indian, UK or USA tax benefits, it will display a note saying so.A fundraiser that offers tax benefits will display a sign under the image box which says, "Indian tax benefits apply."

How can I track the impact of my donation?

Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.

Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.

Whose account will the funds be transferred to?

For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.

In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
