For years, Viraj’s days began with purpose, helping people feel better, easing their fears and sending patients home with hope. As a doctor, caring for others had become more than his profession, it was the life he had built.

At home, he was simply a husband and a father to two little girls who looked up to him as inspiration. His family was his world, and everything he worked for was to give them a secure and happy life. But then, in March 2026, the man who had spent his life treating others became severely ill. Viraj was diagnosed with lung cancer.

What followed was a battle he had never expected to face. Difficulty breathing, weakness and constant uneasiness became part of his everyday life. Yet, he continued fighting, undergoing 5 chemotherapy sittings and 3 immunotherapy injections.

Now, his treatment is far from over. Doctors have advised 18 more immunotherapy injections, each costing a whopping ₹2.10 lakh.

Viraj’s family already spent around ₹10 lakh, exhausting their available funds. Viraj and his wife, both doctors, continue their general practice, but keeping the household running while arranging his treatment has become increasingly difficult.
