My mother, Jyoti Gupta, has always been the strongest person in our family. She was the one who took care of everyone without ever thinking about herself. But today, the same mother who filled our home with warmth is battling severe lung infection and sepsis. A severe pneumonia infection permanently damaged both her lungs, leaving her with Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) and lung fibrosis.
Every single breath has become a struggle, and watching her depend on oxygen and constant medical care is something no son is ever prepared for. The doctors have told us that a lung transplant is now the only chance to save her life.
Even through all this pain, my mother hasn't stopped hoping. She keeps telling us that she wants to recover, come back home, and live a normal life with her family again. She dreams of breathing freely, laughing with us, and getting back to the simple moments that most of us take for granted.

ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಗುಪ್ತಾ ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ. ತನ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಯೋಚಿಸದೆ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡವರು ಅವರು. ಆದರೆ ಇಂದು, ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಉಷ್ಣತೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಅದೇ ತಾಯಿ ಸೆಪ್ಸಿಸ್ನಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ತೀವ್ರವಾದ ಶ್ವಾಸಕೋಶ ಮತ್ತು ಹೃದಯ ಸೋಂಕುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತೀವ್ರವಾದ ನ್ಯುಮೋನಿಯಾ ಸೋಂಕು ಅವರ ಎರಡೂ ಶ್ವಾಸಕೋಶಗಳನ್ನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಹಾನಿಗೊಳಿಸಿತು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇಂಟರ್ಸ್ಟಿಷಿಯಲ್ ಶ್ವಾಸಕೋಶ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ (ILD) ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ವಾಸಕೋಶದ ಫೈಬ್ರೋಸಿಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.

ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನೋವಿನ ನಡುವೆಯೂ, ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ ಭರವಸೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಲು ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಉಸಿರಾಡುವ, ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಗುವ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನವರು ಲಘುವಾಗಿ ಭಾವಿಸುವ ಸರಳ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಮರಳುವ ಕನಸು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಅವರ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಬಿಲ್ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ವಾಸಕೋಶ ಕಸಿ ವೆಚ್ಚವು ಲಕ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗೆ ರಾಶಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲು ನಾನು ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳು ಖಾಲಿಯಾಗಿವೆ.
