“Standing Strong Against Cancer, But We Need Your Help Now”
My name is Chandrima, and I am raising funds for my father, Mr. Chandra Kant Mishra, who is bravely fighting Stomach Cancer, diagnosed on 9 February 2026. I am closely related to him and standing by his side in this difficult time. We have already spent ₹2,00,000, and we now urgently need ₹10,00,000 [$10,000] more to continue his life-saving treatment. This is our humble request to help us keep hope alive.
Chandra Kant Mishra is a simple, kind-hearted person who has always lived for his family. He is someone who never complained, no matter how tough life got. But over the past few months, we noticed his health slowly declining—loss of appetite, constant weakness, and severe discomfort. What we feared became reality when doctors confirmed stomach cancer, changing our lives overnight.
This has come at a time when my family is already carrying more than we ever imagined we would have to. Last October, just a day after Diwali, my mother met with a serious accident and fractured both her femurs. She had to undergo surgery, and the months that followed brought not only hospital bills, but the exhausting and continuous reality of recovery and aftercare.
My mother is also a Guillain-Barré syndrome patient who never fully recovered from her illness, yet through every setback, she has remained the emotional strength of our family.
My parents are private tutors. They have spent their lives giving everything they could to make sure my sister and I had a good education, stability, and a sense of dignity in life. Whatever they earned went into our upbringing and our future. My younger sister is now in Class 12, standing at an important stage of her life, and I am trying to protect her future while also helping my family survive the present.
My father has already completed one round of chemotherapy, but the side effects have been especially hard on him. In the days that followed, we had to make several emergency visits, and the unpredictable medical expenses added to a burden we were already struggling to carry. We have arranged as much as we could on our own.
We have used our savings, stretched every resource, and even sold a part of our family’s assets to keep his treatment moving forward.
Since the diagnosis, he has shown incredible courage. Despite the pain and uncertainty, he continues to stay strong for all of us. There are days when the treatment leaves him extremely weak, but he still tries to smile and reassure us. Seeing his strength makes it even harder for us to accept the reality of his condition. His treatment is under palliative treatment, but I believe it can be converted into a curative one, and we will have him with us for a long time to come.
The doctors have advised an urgent and structured treatment plan to fight the disease and improve his chances of recovery:
- Chemotherapy sessions to control and reduce cancer growth
- Targeted therapy for more effective treatment
- Regular medical tests and monitoring
- Medications for pain management and recovery
- Continuous doctor consultations and follow-ups
This journey has been emotionally and financially overwhelming for our family. Every hospital visit, every test, and every treatment session adds to the burden. We have already exhausted our savings, but the road ahead is still long and uncertain.
He has always been the pillar of strength for our family. Today, he needs all of us to stand by him. We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do this alone anymore. We are holding on to hope and faith that kind-hearted people will come forward to support him.
I humbly request you to please help us in this critical time.
Every donation, no matter how small, can make a real difference in his fight against cancer.
If you cannot contribute, please share this campaign with your family and friends. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean everything to us.
The goal amount of the campaign may be higher than the attached estimates to address and aid the post-hospitalization expenses/contingencies including but not limited to prolonged medication, diagnostics, rehabilitation therapies, and follow-up doctor visits/consultations which vary from disease to disease.
