#2 (29 Jul, 2026) - From Venkatesh Pallapothala Dear Donors,
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each one of you for your generosity, prayers, and unwavering support. Because of your kindness, my son, Baby Krishna, has been given hope and a chance at a healthier future.
I am happy to share an important update with you.
On 28th July, we met Dr. Prabhu to begin the process for Zolgensma gene therapy. This was a significant milestone for our family, and we are grateful to have reached this stage because of your support.
At present, Baby Krishna is continuing his Risdiplam treatment at Aster CMI Hospital while the doctors complete the necessary medical evaluations and procedures required before administering Zolgensma. These assessments are essential to ensure that the treatment is carried out safely and at the right time.
We know there is still a journey ahead, but every step forward fills us with hope. We will continue to keep you updated on Baby Krishna's progress.
Thank you for believing in my son and standing with our family during this difficult time. Your kindness has given us strength, hope, and the courage to keep moving forward. We will forever be grateful for your love and support.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Venkatesh Pallapothala (Krishna's Father)
#3 (24 Jul, 2026) - From Venkatesh Pallapothala Dear Donors,
We would like to share an important update regarding the treatment budget for the campaign.
To ensure complete transparency, the campaign goal has been updated, reflecting both the cost of gene therapy and the essential long-term medical care required for the treatment journey.
The revised estimate includes ₹9.8 crore for the one-time cost of Zolgensma (this medicine needs to be imported and prices may vary with the exchange rate), ₹40L-₹1cr+ towards Risdiplam medication (estimated for at least five to ten years and costs may vary depending on the procurement and availability of generic or branded medicine), ₹20L-₹30L for prolonged physiotherapy, speech therapy, rehabilitation and medical equipments for five to ten years, and ₹20L-₹40L to cover contingencies and hospitalisation as health insurance currently does not cover expenses on account of the genetic disorder.
This revised goal is intended to ensure that the campaign covers not only the one-time cost of Zolgensma but also the critical follow-up treatment, rehabilitation, and medical support required to maximise the benefits of the therapy and provide the best possible outcome. Any unutilized funds shall be employed to assist other SMA patients on Impact Guru in their life-saving treatment in line with the platform policies, with the objective of maximizing social impact.
We remain deeply grateful for the trust, generosity, and encouragement shown by each of our donors. Your support is making this life-changing treatment possible, and every contribution brings us one step closer to giving hope for a healthier future.
Thank you for standing with us throughout this journey.
