My name is Bhushan Bhave, and I’m the father of a beautiful baby boy named Abhimanyu—just 23 months old, and already caught in a terrifying fight for his life.

Abhimanyu has been diagnosed with a rare and deadly genetic disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 2. This condition gradually robs children of their ability to move, eat, speak, and even breathe.

Genetic tests confirmed that Abhimanyu has a deletion in the SMN1 gene, and the only treatment that can truly save his life is Zolgensma, a one-time gene therapy that costs a heartbreaking ₹16 crores.

💔 But time is running out. Doctors have told us this treatment must be done within the next 30 days for it to be most effective.

We are an ordinary family. We’ve already sold our jewelry, used every bit of our savings, and sought help wherever we could—but it’s not enough.

माझं नाव भूषण भावे आहे. माझा मुलगा अभिमन्यू अवघ्या २३ महिन्यांचा असून एक अत्यंत दुर्मिळ आणि जीवघेणा आजार – Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 2 – याच्याशी झुंजतो आहे.

SMN1 जीनमध्ये दोष असल्याचं जनुकीय चाचणीत निष्पन्न झालं आहे आणि यावर एकमेव प्रभावी उपचार म्हणजे Zolgensma, एकदाच दिलं जाणारं जीन थेरपी औषध – ज्याची किंमत आहे ₹१६ कोटी रुपये.

💔 पण काळजीची गोष्ट ही आहे की डॉक्टरांनी स्पष्ट सांगितलं आहे की हा उपचार पुढच्या ३० दिवसांतच करणं अत्यावश्यक आहे. अन्यथा त्याचे परिणाम होऊ शकणार नाहीत.

आम्ही आमचे दागदागिने विकले, सगळी बचत खर्च केली, जे शक्य आहे ते केलं – पण अजूनही आम्ही या प्रचंड खर्चाच्या खूप दूर आहोत.
