I am Aditya’s mother. He is just three years old and the only child of our family. After five years of marriage, when he was born, our home finally felt complete. His laughter filled every corner of our small house, and we dreamed of watching him grow, go to school, and build a bright future.

But when Aditya was only one year old, we received news that shattered us. He was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a rare eye cancer. I still remember holding him tightly in the hospital, praying the doctors were wrong. How could a baby who had barely learned to walk be fighting cancer?

Since that day, our lives have revolved around hospitals and treatments. We used up our savings, borrowed money from relatives, and my husband took on as much farm work as possible. He works as a daily-wage laborer on other people’s farms, earning around Rs 400 a day. Some days there is work, many days there is not. But Aditya’s treatment cannot wait.

According to the recent estimate from Bharati Hospital & Research Centre, Pune, our son now needs four more months of chemotherapy and supportive care. The cost is around ₹3 lakhs. For families like ours, this amount feels impossible. Yet without this treatment, his condition could worsen. I am a homemaker, and I stay with Aditya every moment. When he feels pain from injections, he cries and calls out to me. He does not understand why this is happening. He only knows that his mother is beside him.

As parents, we feel helpless watching our little boy suffer. We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do this alone anymore. We are humbly asking for your support. Your contribution can help us continue Aditya’s treatment and give our only child a chance to live a healthy, happy life.
