A TCSRD Initiative to bring safe drinking water to Rural Indians
HARD FACTS TO GULP DOWN :
41 million Indians living in remote areas lack access to clean & safe drinking water. Contaminated water can transmit diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera, dysentery, typhoid, and polio. WHO estimated 1,40,045 total deaths (2016) and 91,270 children under age of 4 died due to diarrhoea (2017).
We have been living with these (hard) facts year after year, scarcely giving them any importance. SAFE DRINKING WATER is a necessity.
It’s about time that ACTS CHANGE FACTS.
MINUS ONE = PLUS MANY
Doesn’t quite add up??
Those of us who have had a love-hate relationship with Mathematics right through school and college, here’s some magical arithmetic that will solve the problem of unclean drinking water in 150,000 households across India with our/your #MinusOne contribution. Make a difference to 1 family with just Rs. 1500 (which is the cost of purification of water for one household) or its multiples for those who love their math? Let us join hands with “Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development” (TCSRD) to provide 150,000 water purifiers in remote areas of India. And there is no minimum contribution amount.
So, One less pleasure
will bring clean drinking water to a household, a family.
One less dinner date. One less movie night. One less visit to the Spa or Salon? One less birthday party. One less excursion. One less commute to office by car.
Every such pleasure that we give up will be used to contribute for the “Swach Tarang” campaign and save many lives from diseases and death.
Be the “Wave of Change !
