A Son’s Plea: Help Suman Murthy Survive a Brain Hemorrhage & Recovery
To our friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
My name is Sameer Murthy, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to save my mother, Suman Murthy. Our lives changed forever when she suffered a Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (Brain Bleed), leading to emergency brain surgery on January 6th, 2026.
She is currently fighting for her life at Kauvery Hospital, Chennai. Her journey has been incredibly difficult—she has battled Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP), a severe MRSA infection, and is currently on BiPAP support with a tracheostomy. After months of suffering, she is now being prepared for a critical Cranioplasty to repair her skull.
I am only 27 years old and just started my career in 2025. As the sole breadwinner of my family, I am doing everything I can, but I am running out of funds. We have already spent ₹15 Lakhs by exhausting every resource we have, but the total cost of her continued treatment and upcoming surgery is estimated at ₹30,00,000.
As a young professional just starting out, I simply cannot afford this massive amount on my own. I am turning to you to help me give my mother a second chance at life.
How you can help save my mother:
- Contribute: No amount is too small. Every rupee brings my mother one step closer to recovery and coming back home.
- Share: Please share our story with your network. Your one share could reach a compassionate heart that can help us bridge this gap.
- Pray: We ask for your sincere prayers for her strength. Your support gives me the hope to keep fighting for her.
My mother is my everything, and I am not ready to lose her. I am humbly asking for your generosity in our darkest hour. We are eternally grateful for any help, prayers, or kindness you can offer.
The goal amount of the campaign may be higher than the attached estimates to address and aid the post-hospitalization expenses/contingencies including but not limited to prolonged medication, diagnostics, rehabilitation therapies, and follow-up doctor visits/consultations which vary from disease to disease.
