Dear Friends,
Deep gratitude for the contributions and blessings so far. Shivendra is stable now but he continues to remain critical. His lungs have been able to inflate but they are unable to support the body with gas exchange. That is to say, the body is unable to eliminate carbon dioxide. Furthermore, being in an ICU for almost 2 months has weakened him. He is required to undergo continuous physiotherapy sessions to regain strength. The doctors have said that he will continue to remain on ECMO support, medication and requires medical care in the CCU for a prolonged period of time for a healthy recovery. Also, there are a few infections in his blood which are a cause of concern. While he is on antibiotics, if the infections don't settle then doctors may have to consider changing the cannulae, which is a very risky procedure.
While we await the complete recovery of his lungs, please continue your support as we have a few more miles to go.
Hoping for your continued support. Take care and may God bless you all.
Regards,
Molly Pande.
