While everyone else was getting ready to welcome the New Year with smiles and celebrations, my world came crashing down. Instead of hope, my heart was filled with fear. Instead of joy, there were prayers…..
I will never forget that phone call. “Your cousin brother has met with a serious accident. He’s been rushed to the hospital.”
My name is Fatema Lokhandwala, and I am raising funds for my cousin brother, Huzefa, who is critically ill after a severe accident. On 28th December 2025, while the world was counting down to a new beginning, I was standing outside an ICU, hoping to see my cousin brother alive and stable.
That accident changed everything. Huzefa, just 26 years old, had to be put on a ventilator immediately. He spent many painful days in the ICU, and even now, his condition remains delicate.
At the moment, Huzefa is on medication and oral treatment. There is still swelling in his brain, and the doctors have informed us that another brain surgery is needed, which can only be done once the swelling reduces, possibly in around two months. Until then, he requires constant medical care and monitoring
Doctors at Manipal Hospital, Hebbal, Bengaluru, have clearly stated that this surgery is critical for his recovery.
Before this accident, Huzefa was working in a hardware company and was the main earning member of our family. After the accident, everything stopped. The medical bills kept increasing, and we had no option but to take loans and borrow from relatives. Even now, managing his treatment and the upcoming surgery is extremely difficult for us.
As a cousin and family member, I want to see Huzefa healthy again—to see him talk, laugh, and live a normal life. Every day, I pray for a miracle. Today, his treatment depends on your support. Your kindness can give Huzefa a real chance to recover and get his life back.

ಆ ಅಪಘಾತವು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿತು. ಕೇವಲ 26 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಹುಜೈಫಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ವೆಂಟಿಲೇಟರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಅವರು ಐಸಿಯುನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ನೋವಿನ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆದರು, ಮತ್ತು ಈಗಲೂ ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿದೆ.
