ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಸ್ವರ್ಣ ಕಾಂತಿ ರಾಯ್. ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಸಂಕಾರೀ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ರಾಯ್ ಅವರ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ವಿನಮ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಈ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ಯಾಂಕ್ರಿಯಾಟಿಕ್ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ (ಅಗ್ನ್ಯಾಶಯ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್) ಎಂದು ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಆ ಸಮಯದಿಂದ ಅವರು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮಣಿಪಾಲ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಬೆನ್ನೆಲುಬು—ಅವರು ದಯಾಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಶ್ರಮಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ, ಸದಾ ಇತರರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯೋಚಿಸುವವರು. ಅವರು ಈ ನೋವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದು ತುಂಬಾ ದುಃಖಕರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೂ ನಾವು ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ದೊರಕಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ನಾವು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ರೂ. 3,00,000 ವೆಚ್ಚ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಒಟ್ಟು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ವೆಚ್ಚ ಇನ್ನೂ ರೂ. 20,00,000 ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದಾಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ತುಂಬಾ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮೊತ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಾವು ಈ ವೆಚ್ಚವನ್ನು ಭರಿಸಲು ಅಸಮರ್ಥರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
