Hi, I am Ahmed, Naziabanu’s brother. Our lives changed forever in May when my sister was diagnosed with blood cancer – relapsed DLBCL (T-cell rich B-cell large lymphoma). Until then, we were living a simple, happy life. It started with knots and lumps under her arm and near her neck, followed by extreme weakness, dizziness, mouth ulcers, stomach pain, diarrhoea, and repeated infections due to very low immunity. She began treatment with R-CHOP chemotherapy, but it did not work. The cancer relapsed aggressively and is still active, with lymph nodes now involved near her liver and spleen. She is currently undergoing Polatuzumab-based salvage chemotherapy with Rituximab and Bendamustine, but her body is under severe strain. She weighs only around 38 kg, is constantly weak, in pain, and physically exhausted from both the disease and the harsh treatment.

After reviewing her condition, the doctors have told us something no family is ever prepared to hear, that CAR-T therapy is now the only effective treatment option left, and it is extremely urgent. Without it, her chances of survival are very slim.
