Dear Donors,

Lovesh is still in the hospital, bravely continuing his recovery. He is undergoing regular rehabilitation therapy along with medications and physiotherapy.

Doctors have advised that he will require at least 6 more months of hospital-based medical care. The family has already spent a huge amount on his treatment and is struggling to manage the rising expenses.

Your kindness and generosity have carried them this far, and they humbly request your continued support. Please keep Lovesh in your prayers and extend your donations to help him complete his treatment and return to good health.

Story

I still remember the day everything changed. My son Lovesh (22) was full of energy, ready to start his first job as a software developer. He had dreams in his eyes, and we, as parents, felt so proud. But on June 17th, he got a fever that looked ordinary at first. Soon after, he started feeling a tingling in his legs, then weakness. Within days, that weakness spread, and my son could no longer move. The doctors called it Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare condition where the body’s own immune system attacks the nerves.

“Papa, why did this happen to me just when life was starting?” he whispered once, with tears in his eyes. That question still breaks me.

Within a short span, Lovesh went from walking on his own to being completely paralysed. His breathing was affected too, and he had to undergo a tracheostomy a surgical opening in the neck, to help him breathe. We saw him lying in the ICU, unable to even swallow food or close his eyes properly. No parent is ever prepared for that.

After weeks in the hospital, he was shifted to Sukino Whitefield – Stroke and Neuro Inpatient Rehabilitation and Recovery Centre in Bengaluru. That’s where he is now, fighting every single day. Physiotherapy, chest therapy, and swallow therapy are now part of our daily lives. Slowly, with therapy, he has started moving his legs again and passed a small swallowing test, but his journey is far from over.

His spirit amazes me. He tells me, “Papa, one day I will walk back to my office and prove myself.” Despite his pain, his dream to excel in the software field keeps him alive with hope.

But for us as parents, it has been crushing. I am retired, and my wife and I are his only family. We had some savings, but they are exhausted. We borrowed from relatives, and though we will repay one day, the burden is heavy. We have spent everything, yet the treatment must go on.

As his father, I am doing everything I can, but I cannot do this alone anymore. Please  help Lovesh continue his therapy, you will not just be donating money, you will be giving a young man the chance to stand again, to chase his dream.

Please help my son, Lovesh.
